"A Century of Song: Elgar to ABBA" For the Christie

The Alma Singers performed in a concert entitled, "A Century of Song: Elgar to ABBA" at the Larkhill Community Centre, Timperley on May 13, 2011 and raised more than £1000 for the Christie. The initiative for this event was due to Des Royle, a volunteer at the Christie.

In July 2011, the cheque was presented to the Christie by Margaret Curzon ( Musical Director), Tony Heaton (Accompanist) and Clare Lockett (Secretary).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

"The Alphabet of Love" For the Stroke Association

The Alma Singers performed at the Larkhill Community Centre, Timperley on Friday, May 10, 2013 to raise funds for the Trafford Branch of the Stroke Association. Over £1000 was raised for the charity. The theme of the concert was the "Alphabet of Love", commencing with "A You're Adorable" and ending with "Zipadee Doodah".

St Martins and St Hugh & St John's

The Alma Singers with soloists performed in concerts at St Martins Church, Ashton upon Mersey, on Friday, June 14, and St Hugh & St John Catholic Church, West Timperley, on Friday, June 28. The theme of the concerts was again "The Alphabet of Love". The amount raised for St Martin's Church was £280 and more than £600 was raised for St Hugh & St John Catholic Church in aid of  SVP and CAFOD.

 

"The Old World meets The New" for the Alzheimer's Society

A concert was performed on May 09, 2014 entitled "The Old World meets The New" at the Larkhill Centre for the Alzheimer's Society and over  £800 was raised for the charity.

 

 

 

 

 

 

"Come to The Fair and The Flicks"

The Alma Singers performed in a concert at the Larkhill Centre, Timperley on May 16, 2015 and raised more than £1000 in aid of Parkinson's UK (Trafford Branch) and Timperley Country Fair.

The Alma Singers performed in a concert at the Larkhill Community Centre on Saturday, May 21, 2016, raising funds for Henshaw's School for the Blind.

"Songs We Have Loved"

The Alma Singers performed in a concert on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at The Larkhill Centre, Thorley Lane, Timperley, entitled Songs We Have Loved in aid of CLIC Sargent.

"The Alma Singers in Springtime Serenade"

The Alma Singers held a concert for Cancer Research UK on May 04, 2018 and raised  over £1000 for the charity.
