The Alma Singers Music Librarian is Ginny Murray, who with the Musical Director, Margaret Curzon and the Accompanist, Tony Heaton organises the music for the concerts. The music is divided broadly into two categories, for the Christmas period and for other concerts in the Spring, Summer and Autumn. Music selected by the MD for particular performances not in the Alma Singers library is borrowed on loan from music sections of libraries and other groups.  Music is also purchased to enhance the repertoire.

 

The library contains more than 350 different titles ranging right across the musical spectrum from the old favourite classics to the more modern songs, songs from the shows, a large variety of Christmas music, madrigals, songs from other countries, and most of the well-known favourites.  In the future, it may be possible to accommodate requests for the loan of music on a short term basis for an appropriate fee.
